How Can I Help?

Your first session of hypnotherapy will typically involve taking a detailed history from you followed by an introduction to hypnotherapy. This will be where you'll have the chance to experience the trance state.
Each further session of hypnotherapy will then be  individually tailored to you based on your personal concerns.

Weight Loss

Hypnotherapy is a proven tool in weight loss, with many scientific studies having shown this to be true. Not only can hypnotherapy help you to achieve the weight loss you desire, it can also help you deal with the motivating factors surrounding your eating habits and can help motivate you to start exercising too if that's what you wish.
All of this combined can enhance weight reduction and help to keep the weight off.
A course of 3 - 5 sessions is recommended.

Addictions

Hypnotherapy can be used to treat many addictions including alcohol, drugs and it has proved to be very successful when used to quit smoking.
Sessions involve looking at the motivating factors surrounding your dependance and then using positive suggestions that you can and will quit.
Smoking cessation is done within one intense 2 hour session .
Other addictions will be discussed and the best course of action will be agreed upon.

Anxiety

Hypnotherapy is an excellent method with which to treat anxiety. Hypnosis by it's very nature is an extremely relaxed state of mind. And during this relaxed state we will look at what makes you anxious and how you can start to look at the issues differently and deal with these anxieties much more positively.
Clients can often feel much less anxious after just one session, but we will discuss your issues and together come up with a course of action.

Fears & Phobias

Hypnotherapy can deal with the root problem of your fears and phobias, but more importantly, it can help you deal with them successfully so that they no longer hold you back.
During the sessions you'll learn relaxation techniques and coping mechanisms which can be used when presented with the fear, but you'll also learn to feel more calm and relaxed about your fear when simply thinking about it.
A course of 2 - 3 sessions is recommended.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

IBS is a widespread condition involving recurrent abdominal pain and diarrhoea or constipation, often associated with stress, depression or anxiety.
Clinical studies have found that hypnotherapy has superior results when treating IBS than medical care alone.
Alongside the care from your GP, hypnotherapy can help you to deal with the stress and anxiety that may exacerbate your symptoms, so that you no longer feel trapped by the limitations IBS may inflict upon you.
A course of at least 2 - 3 sessions is recommended.

Child Birth

Hypnotherapy is becoming more and more common in labour wards. When practised during pregnancy it can help to ease anxiety about the coming birth, it can help with morning sickness, relaxation and sleep problems, but it can also help with pain management during labour, with many women foregoing pain control completely.
Hypnotherapy can also help with pain control and recuperation following a cesarean section.

Hypnotherapy is a wonderful way to cope with pain. As long as you're under the care of your GP, hypnotherapy can work wonders alongside your medical care.
Using techniques where you are able to 'turn down' the pain or even replace that pain with a less painful substitute, and relaxation mechanisms means that you can take back control from a life with chronic pain.
